The bigger fishbowl. When was the last time you did something for the first time? I guess it's easy to get into ones life rythm where everything becomes comfortable and predictable, safe. It's not until some outside influence creats a wave that rips across your pool of tranquility that you see changeing patterns and other possibilities. Being thrown into the deep end of the fish bowl as I have been here in toronto my life has been turned upside down. At first it was quite stressful. Being the private person that I am I had to get used to living with so many other ppl in the hostel every moment of my life being observed by others. Being fearful that someone will steal or mess with my stuff, basically a general lack of secuirty. I was no longer the king of my little bubble blowing sea castle. I don't remember being this stressed in Hawaii (the only other time in a hostel), but it was different I suppose because I had Kat with me and it wasn't quit this long a stay. 'Its a hell of a thing to live in fear.' (not that I'm that fearful, but I heard that quote in a movie along time ago and have been waiting to use it since forever!). But being forced out of my comfort zone has been great after I started to adjust to my suroundings. I'm a great ppl person, I don't know why I don't meet more ppl in Van, it's like normally I couldn't be bothered and am usually happy with what I got already. Spending alot of time on my own to get away from everyone I've had alot of time to think and reavaluate alot of things. I've also gotten to expand my country by learning the ins and outs of a new city. Watching alot of other ppl interact with each other has got me thinking about my role in other ppls lives. Also I've re-aquired the clubbing bug. I used to love to club and almost never go anymore. And I'm also meeting alot of other types of ppl, most of which I would have nothing to do with in the real world. You guys all heard about my irish club experince and my football mob experience. There's a few more but I'll save it for another day. I really want to visit the UK or Australia now (both?). Btw, I met the perfect girl and I only knew her for one day before she left. She's a welsh girl I met named Sally. Now I know what to look for and I'm encouraged to know that she's out there somewhere. So Monday I'm off to Kingston to visit Lora until weds then back to TO for the show's. I'm probably flying out on Friday back to my nice comfortable fishbowl, which is moving back to surrey btw. When I get back some things in my fishbowl are going to change. Don't forget to Vote for Elena! I miss all you guys and I miss practice. Sorrey Rodney, I couldn't fit the base in my luggage and havn't been practicing, but I'll be a practicing machine when I get back! Rhoel.
In My Life
There are places i'll remember All my life though some have changed Some forever not for better Some have gone and some remain All these places have their moments For people and things that went before I know i'll often stop and think about them In my life...

Hostel take over. To whom it may concern, this may become long. I'm using my blog to augment my own memory so I can look back and remember my time in TO the year my cuz became an idol. And it's going to come out as one giant paragraph because this stupid keyboard at Chapters internet cafe has a broken 'enter' key it seems. After stayin with my uncle for two days at the Renasaunse hotel I've booked it to a hostel. The first one I checked out was empty pretty gross. The wouldn't even show me the room just some pictures. Lonely Planet had it listed as the top hostel, but the one I ended up staying at wasn't built at the time of publication. It's great meeting differnt ppl from all over the world. Last night a group of us went to this Irish pub. It was great, like a scene straight out of a movie. Imagine the whole pub drunk, singing team fight songs aswell as a whole assortment of other songs, that to tell the truth sound pretty much incoherent noise with so many drunks sining at the same time! The hilight came when our server took the stage like she was going to make an anouncement. when everyone had hushed she started singing some contemparary song that even I knew the words to in a thick irish accent. good times. I'm going back today. I gotta find a good one back in Van. Between my bro's expence account, my uncles credit card, going clubbing every other night, friends taking me out, a hostel that's half irish and half australian that's always half drunk...I've been drinking alost every day. It's gotten to the point that I don't want a beer today. OMG, what's happened to me? As for the show, it's way better live. You can totally tell who has tallent and who dosn't. It's hard to tell on tv. That dude, the one that thinks he's 'Simon', is such a knob that I can't even begin to explain. He strutts around extra slow basking in his own glory. I noticed both shows he had two blond hotties moved behind him so he can turn around and flirt. The two on Weds were just so hot, but they seemed kinda youngish to me. at one point he asked how old they were....14....he just kept on going without missing a beat. I can't fault him thou because he seems to like my cuz. I took a bunch of pics of me in his chair too! There was a security guard guarding it the next day. Hilights: My cuz kicking ass dispite being sick as a dog all week. Meeting her fan club, the Eleniacs. Watching little girl almost pee themselves, "OMG it's Elana!!!!!! OMG she touched me!!!" The last singer guy, the one that did 'put your head on my shoulders'. I'm not sure if you can tell on tv but the entire audience was laughing more than clapping, it was that good. So I'm staying here in TO for at least another week so keep an eye out for me. I'm not sure if we'll be sitting behind the judges again. Probably rotate because those were teh best seats in teh house. Anyways. ttyl.

So I'm leaving on a jet plane
7:45. My tenative plan is to stay in Toronto till the end of the ride. So I'll be crashing at my uncles hotel when he's in town or in a hostel somewhere in the city. This kinda reminds me when I flew to Hawaii on a whim with no real plans and almost missing Nick and Mels wedding 'cause I was there so long! I might be gone 4 days, I might be gone 4 weeks. I don't know. But I'll be keeping up my blog while I'm there. Stay tuned. I havn't written anything of substence since hawaii so maybe I'll find my old ways.
Pack Rat.
I just collect stuff. I put together little time (and place) capsules. Pictures. Little obscure trinkets beach rocks. newspapers, flyers from otherplaces while I'm there. Music of the that year or place. E-mails. Actually each of my ex's has their own box. And I put it away and forget about it. Every once in a while thou, you open up the box and remember stuff. Last night I finally emptied out my hotmail account and saved everything on disk. I had hundreds of e-mails dateing all the way back to 01. The last time I backed them up and cleared it out was when I got back from Hawaii (perserving my memories digitally). I had alot of kp mail leading up to respective shows and other stuff, like when I chronicled the first official Ed/Tina sighting after the show. I had some stuff leading up to my cuz's wedding. But mostly I reread alot of and remembered alot of personal stuff. Some of which were good times, but alot of them were totally sucky times. Theres a reason why ppl forget, but good times or bad I'm glad I kept those memories. In a few years those past drama's will read like a really bad novel in which I was the star player. I like to read a really bad novel every once in a while. See you from the centre of the universe. (Toronto is not the centre of the universe btw, the centre of the universe is where ever I happen to be standing)

Earth to Eastern Canada...
Vancouver is 3 hours behind, so at 5:30 don't start calling me and blowing up my voice mail or leaving 5 e-mails each all of which are entitiled "if you havn't watched the show don't open this yet!". So yeah, I kinda got the hint that she would advance...
So congrats to my cuz Elena Juatco (I use her full name so it sticks in your brain) for defeating the rest of the wild card contestants and thank you to all my friends for blowing up the long distence lines! Special thanks to Armando and his mom for two hours of service each! Honestly if she wasn't on the show I don't think I'd be watching. IMO so many of the more deserving singers are being cut, and I think I've seen some talent at flip day that could outsing most of the top 10. Anyways all for the better because I think my cuz is kickin some serious ass, I mean she could actually...(don't wanna jinx it.)
So as it stands, it appears I will be flying to Toronto sometime early next week to support her. Don't have any real plans because I won't be hearing from her mom till tomorrow (after she speaks to Elena). Apperently she's only aloted 4 tix and according to Lora the tix at ticket master sold out probably 2 hours and 50 mins before the episode aired in Vancouver. So I may not even get in the building, which would suck the bone. Can't wait to see you again Lora! call ya tomorrow.

...the ppl on the bus...
...GO ROUND AND ROUND! That was an awesome trip fellas! Why am I writting with exclamation marks!??? It feels like I'm talking really loud with written words! Wait a sec, why am I yelling what I'm writting!??? Anyways, I don't think I've had so much fun in such a long time. Now a days things are just temporaraly fun, but then you feel hungry. Or are mildly amuseing but even more fleeting and soon forgotten. But this trip was all about the fun, multiple levels of fun. There's the goofing around on the ferry fun being loud making all the newbies (and Randy who wanted to play too) play the Cristina Flo "eat four crackers in a min and whistle!" fun. Theres the "I'm on a school bus!" fun, complete with games, songs and the song games. There's the "I'm on stage, on tour; I'm such a rockstar!" fun. And there's the "I'm with my friends, doing what I love" fun. I think part of the reason we had such a good show (not speaking technichally of course) is because we wern't so much acting as genuinely having a good time. It was especially apperent in rural where that sort of behaviour is considered being in character.
It was weird going back there after 5 years. It didn't seem so much like the boondocks anymore, more like Coquitlam. Some things still blow me away, like the hospitality and friendliness. Well, congrats to everyone especially the rooks, who performed above and beyond the call of Randy. Rest up fellas, and lets get ready to storm Prince Rupert! But next time we need some hot groupies to hang around all the time! Nice! And lastly .........kabukie!
Rhoel. If Peter Piper picked the pack of pickeled peppers where is the pack of pickled perpers that Peter, the pickeled pepper picker, picked?
